About the race
Superhero for Hope 8th Annual Run/Walk 5K is presented by the Medical Society of Delaware and takes place on October 10, 2026 in Rockford Park, Lookout Drive, Wilmington, DE (19th Street & Tower Rd., 19806). The event supports the MSD Campaign for Kids, an initiative launched to address seven issues affecting young Delawareans: Obesity, Bullying, Violence, Intelligent decisions, Opioid abuse, Underage drinking, and Suicide. Proceeds support counseling, school programs, and other youth mental health resources.
The course starts and finishes near the Rockford Tower and includes one loop around the park, an out-and-back segment on Tower Drive to Penna Ave with a turnaround at A.I. Middle School, and a final loop through the park. The route is described as shaded in many areas.

Amenities and services include unisex tee shirts, post-race refreshments, music, and event photos posted afterward. Timing uses the MYLAPS BibTag chip system; results are posted online. Awards are given by gun time for overall male and female and masters, and by chip net time for age groups; top walker awards are also listed.
