Superhero for Hope 8th Annual Run/Walk 5K
The Superhero for Hope 8th Annual Run/Walk 5K takes place on October 10, 2026 at Rockford Park in Wilmington, DE. The event is presented by the Medical Society of Delaware and benefits the MSD Campaign for Kids, an initiative focused on seven youth issues: obesity, bullying, violence, intelligent decisions, opioid abuse, underage drinking, and suicide.

The course starts and finishes near the Rockford Tower, follows one loop of the park, continues out Tower Drive to Penna Ave with a turnaround at A.I. Middle School, and returns to complete an additional loop. The route is described as shaded for an early morning run.
Amenities include unisex tee shirts, post race refreshments, and music. Timing is provided by chip timing using the MYLAPS BibTag system and results are posted online during and after the event. Awards are given to top overall finishers by gun time, and age group awards are scored by chip time; prizes also recognize top walkers and masters.
