The Billing : Rawdon, Leeds
The Billing is a winter trail race organised by Great Owl Running and based at The Emmott Arms, Town St, Rawdon, Leeds LS19 6PP. The event distance is 14 Kilometres with an undulating profile and approximately 277 m elevation. The course is a single lap that heads up the Billing, passes through the top of Yeadon, completes a lap of the Leeds Bradford Airport perimeter fence, and returns via a second ascent of the Billing. Terrain includes fields, trail and public footpaths. Navigation is described as a fully marked course. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs and has an age limit of 18+.
Entry, kit and facilities
Entry is limited to 100 runners and there were no entries recorded at the time of the listing. Entry fees range between £18.00 and £35.00 depending on affiliation and optional extras. Optional purchases include a race t-shirt and/or medal, and a "Trees not Tees" donation option. Entry on the day is possible for an additional £2.00 if the event has not sold out. Facilities at Race HQ include toilets, bag storage and a car park. There are no changing facilities or showers, and there are no distance markers. Runners are asked to use trail shoes and must carry a windproof or waterproof jacket and a personal water container. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
