Event

The Billing is a winter trail race organised by Great Owl Running on 14 February 2026. Race HQ is The Emmott Arms, Town St, Rawdon, Leeds LS19 6PP. Entry is limited to 100 participants. Age limit 18+.

Course

The route is approximately 14 km with elevation ~277 m. The course is fully marked and uses fields, trails and public footpaths. The route starts at The Emmott Arms, climbs the Billing, passes through the top of Yeadon, includes a lap of the Leeds Bradford Airport perimeter fence, and returns via a second ascent of the Billing.

Entry, facilities and kit

Entry fees are listed in a range from £18.00 to £35.00, with specific options for affiliated and unaffiliated entries and optional tee or medal purchases. Optional extras include medals, t-shirts and a "Trees not Tees" donation for tree planting. Facilities at Race HQ include toilets, bag storage and a car park. There are no water stations; the event is cupless and runners must bring their own water container.
