The Billing
The Billing is a winter trail race organised by Great Owl Running and scheduled for 13 February 2027. The event is based at Rawdon Cricket Club, 73 Larkfield Road, Rawdon, Leeds LS19 6DZ.
The route leaves the race headquarters, climbs the Billing, continues through the top of Yeadon, completes a circuit near Leeds Bradford Airport perimeter fence, and returns via a second ascent of the Billing. The course is fully marked and mainly runs on fields, trail and public footpaths. The approximate distance is 14 km with about 277 m of elevation gain. Trail shoes are advised.
There is no water station on course, so participants are expected to carry their own fluids. Mandatory kit includes a windproof or waterproof jacket and spare shoes or clothing so muddy footwear is not worn inside the race HQ. Facilities at the venue include toilets, bag storage and car parking. Entry is limited to 100 runners and the minimum age is 18.
Optional purchases for medals or t-shirts are offered before the race and on the day only while excess stock lasts. There is also an option to make a "Trees not Tees" donation to fund tree planting. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
