The Billing
The Billing is a winter trail race organised by Great Owl Running from Rawdon Cricket Club, 73 Larkfield Rd, Rawdon, Leeds LS19 6DZ. The course is approximately 14 km long with about 277 m of elevation and is fully marked.
The route heads straight up The Billing, continues through the top of Yeadon, completes a lap alongside the Leeds Bradford Airport perimeter fence, and returns via a second ascent of The Billing. Terrain includes fields, trails and public footpaths. Trail shoes are requested.
The event has an entry limit of 100 and an age limit of 18 plus. Water is not provided on course so runners should bring their own. Facilities at Race HQ include toilets, bag storage and car parks.
Mandatory kit requirements include a windproof or waterproof jacket and spare shoes or clothing to change into after the race. Organisers note that muddy boots are not permitted inside the Race HQ. Optional extras such as medals or t-shirts can be added to an entry order for a limited time before the race, and a "Trees not Tees" donation option is available. Standard entry is listed at £18.
