About the race
The Billing is a winter trail race organised by Great Owl Running in Rawdon, Leeds. The approximately 14-kilometre single-lap loop climbs The Billing, skirts the top of Yeadon, then circles the Leeds Bradford Airport perimeter before returning for a second ascent. The undulating course runs on fields, trails and public footpaths, and is fully marked, with around 277 metres of elevation.
The atmosphere embraces British winter grit, described humorously as a “bastard” of a race. Facilities include toilets and baggage storage; there are no water stations. Mandatory kit requires a windproof/waterproof jacket and a personal water container, as the event is cupless. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
