The Billing

The Billing is a winter trail race organised by Great Owl Running. The route begins at The Emmott Arms in Rawdon, Leeds, climbs the Billing, passes through the top of Yeadon, includes a lap of the Leeds Bradford Airport perimeter fence, and returns via a second ascent of the Billing. Trail shoes are recommended.

The course distance is about 14 km with roughly 277 m of elevation. The course is fully marked and uses fields, trail and public footpaths. There is no water station on course. The event has an entry limit of 100 and an age limit of 18 and over.

Race facilities at the Race HQ include toilets, bag storage and a car park. Medals and t-shirts are available as optional purchases when ordering entry, and there is an optional Trees not Tees donation to fund tree planting. Optional extras are available only for a limited time before the event and may be limited on the day.

Mandatory kit requirements include a windproof or waterproof jacket and a personal water container as this is a cupless event with refill stations provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
