The Billing
The Billing is a winter trail race based at Rawdon Cricket Club, 73 Larkfield Rd, Rawdon, Leeds LS19 6DZ. The route climbs The Billing, continues through the top of Yeadon, includes a lap beside the Leeds Bradford Airport perimeter fence, and returns via a second ascent of The Billing. The advertised distance is approximately 14 km with about 277 m of elevation gain. The course runs on fields, trails and public footpaths and is fully waymarked.
The event notes winter conditions and requires appropriate clothing. All runners must carry a windproof or waterproof jacket and additional warm clothing as mandatory kit. The race also requests spare shoes and clothing for changing at Race HQ to avoid bringing muddy boots indoors. Trail shoes are recommended. There is no water station on course; participants are asked to provide their own fluids.
Entry is limited to 100 participants and the minimum age is 18. Facilities at Race HQ include toilets, bag storage and car parks. Optional extras such as medals and t-shirts can be added to an entry order before the race and are limited on the day to remaining stock. A 'Trees not Tees' donation option is offered to fund tree planting as an alternative to standard extras. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
