The Big Santa Dash
The Big Santa Dash is a festive series of road races organised by Lancaster Runners and taking place on 20th December 2026 at 3-1-5 Health Club LA1 3PE. The event supports CancerCare and each entry includes a donation to the charity. A UKA licence is held for the event: #31303.
The event programme comprises three distances:
- 1 mile CancerCare Santa Dash
- CancerCare Christmas Cracker 10k
- CancerCare Turkey Trot Half Marathon
All finishers in each event receive a medal. The Santa Dash also provides candy canes to participants and encourages Christmas fancy dress; under six years old should run with an adult. Spot prize T-shirts are available across the events. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers in the 10k and the half marathon.
Entry fees differ by event and affiliation, with both online and on-the-day options; on-the-day entry is cash only. Lancaster Runners Club members have reduced rates. The organiser operates a no refunds, swaps or deferrals policy. The course passes views of the Lune and Lancaster countryside and organisers welcome new runners.
