The BIG Run
The BIG Run takes place on June 14, 2026 at WakeMed Soccer Park, 101 Soccer Park Dr, Cary, North Carolina. The event is an untimed 5K fun run held on the park's cross country course, which is mostly grass and dirt. Registration for the community 5K is free; registration opens March 24, 2026 and closes June 13, 2026.
The event program includes a vendor expo with shoe demos, giveaways, and merchandise for sale, plus food and coffee trucks available before and after the run. Organizers will distribute special 50th anniversary finisher medals to the first 500 people who register, attend, and check in; a limited number of Brooks shoes will be given away to registered attendees. There are pre run warm ups and post run activities that include yoga and a cold plunge; participants who plan to join the yoga are asked to bring a mat and towel.
This 5K is explicitly not an official race: there is no official timing or results. Dogs are not allowed at the park or on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
