The Big Run 5K presented by Brooks takes place on June 3, 2026 in Hillsborough, NC at the Eno River Farmer's Market Pavilion (144 E Margaret Ln). The event includes an in-person 5K, a virtual 5K, a free Kid's Run (about one mile), and a free Global Running Day morning run/walk. Entry fees listed are $40 for the in-person 5K and $30 for the virtual 5K; the Kid's Run and the Global Running Day run/walk are free. Registration for the in-person 5K closes on June 2, 2026 and reopens on June 3, 2026; other event registrations end on June 3, 2026. The first 300 in-person runners and walkers receive a medal, t-shirt, a locopop, and sponsor items. Packet pick-up is scheduled May 30, 2026 at Fleet Feet Carrboro and on June 3, 2026 at Fleet Feet Ninth Street.

Course and logistics
The course starts and finishes near the Eno River Farmer's Market Pavilion and follows the Riverwalk east toward the Historic Occoneechee Speedway Tract. The route includes a trail through the woods, a lap around the speedway, and a return to the farmers market finish area. Most of the course is on paved bike paths and crushed gravel; a small portion is a narrow, beginner-friendly trail with minimal roots and rocks. The course can be navigated by a running stroller for participants comfortable with short off-road sections. Parking is available in the Hillsborough Public Parking Deck behind Weaver Street Market; participants are asked not to use the lot in front of Weaver Street Market.
