The Big Run 5K presented by Brooks - Hillsborough
The Big Run is a community running event held on June 3, 2026 at the Eno River Farmer's Market Pavilion, 144 E Margaret Lane, Hillsborough, NC. The event coincides with Global Running Day and includes both in-person and virtual options.
Distances and event options:
- 5K timed in-person race
- 5K virtual race with the same shirt and medal
- Kid's Run approximately 1 mile, free
- Free morning run/walk 3.1 miles
Registration and entry fees are listed per event: the in-person 5K carries a registration fee of $40, the virtual 5K is $30, and both the Kid's Run and the Global Running Day morning run/walk are free. On-site registration is available at the Farmers Market Pavilion on June 3rd.
Packet pickup is scheduled in two locations: May 30, 2026 at Fleet Feet Carrboro, and June 3, 2026 at Fleet Feet Ninth Street. Virtual participants receive the same race shirt and medal as in-person participants; those items are available for pickup in the days before the event. The first 300 in-person registrants will receive a medal, a t-shirt, a locopop, and sponsor-provided items.
Parking is available in the Hillsborough Public Parking Deck behind Weaver Street Market; participants are asked not to park in the lot in front of the market. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
