Event Overview
The Big Run 10K - Canton is a running event held in celebration of Global Running Day. Hosted at Etowah River Park in Canton, Georgia, the event provides a scenic environment for participants of various abilities. The race features multiple distances to accommodate different preferences:
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run (The Little Run)
Both the 5K and 10K courses at this event are designated as Official Peachtree Qualifiers for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race. The routes utilize the paths around the Etowah River area.
Participant Information
Registered participants receive a race bib and a commemorative 2026 unisex adult t-shirt. All finishers who complete their respective courses are awarded a medal. Prize vouchers for athletic footwear are provided to top performers, including the overall winners and masters winners in the male, female, and non-binary categories. Cash prizes are also designated for the first, second, and third-place finishers.
Logistics
Packet pick-up is available the day before the event at a local running store in Canton, as well as on the morning of the races at the park. The venue features family-oriented activities and food vendors on-site. The registration period for all distances concludes in early April.
