AdventHealth Rome Turkey Trot 5K and Feel Whole 3K Stroll
The event in Rome, GA is presented by AdventHealth Rome and includes two distance options:
- 5K running race on a USATF certified course
- 3K Feel Whole Stroll for walking only
Proceeds benefit Northwest Georgia Hunger Ministries Inc. The 5K serves as a qualifying event for the annual AJC Peachtree Road Race. Awards for the 5K include top three overall men and women, top master men and women, and finisher medals for all finishers. The 3K Stroll is a noncompetitive walk and does not receive awards.
Registration details include early bird rates through October 18 and higher fees afterward, with separate youth and adult pricing. Pre-race online registration remains available into November with a cutoff for guaranteed T-shirt sizes in mid November. Race day registration is offered at a higher fee.
Pre-race packet pickup and shirt distribution are scheduled at a local running store in the days before the event. Course support on race day includes water stations, restrooms, stationary and roving marshals, a lead bike guiding the front of the 5K, and EMTs at the finish area. The finish area provides water, sports drink, fruit, and snacks for participants. Free parking is available at the AdventHealth Stadium parking lots. Dogs on leashes are permitted on the 3K stroll; dogs and strollers are not allowed with 5K runners.
The event will be held rain or shine unless local authorities and organizers determine cancellation is necessary; in that case registered participants are transferred to a rescheduled date and no refunds are issued. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
