Event Overview
The Big Game Run takes place on February 14, 2027, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The main event is the Big Game 4 Miler, a 4-mile run. There are also two other events: a 100-yard kids' dash and a virtual 4 miler. The entire event has a football theme, and participants are encouraged to wear costumes or apparel supporting their favorite football teams.
Course Details
The 4-mile course starts and finishes outside the East gate of Bank of America Stadium (Panthers Stadium) on South Mint Street. The route uses the Wesley Heights/Irwin Creek Greenway for an out-and-back section before returning to Charlotte streets and finishing at the stadium's East Gate. Walkers are welcome, with a 1 hour and 15-minute time limit for the 4-mile distance.
Participant Information
Registration for the 4-mile race costs $34.99, and the price increases after September 14, 2026. The 100-yard kids' dash costs $12.99. A virtual 4 miler option is also available. Online registration closes on February 13, 2027.
Participants registered before February 1, 2027, are guaranteed a long-sleeve performance shirt. Runners in the 4-mile event receive a finisher medal, and kids in the dash receive a mini football. The first 100 registered participants get a pint glass. Bibs can be customized with team colors for those registered by February 1.
Packet pickup is available on the Saturday before the race and on race day from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM at the stadium (800 S Mint St, Charlotte). Awards are given for the 4-mile race only, with top three overall and age group winners. The awards ceremony begins at 10:30 AM.
Medical support is located at the finish line. The event proceeds rain or shine, with cancellation decisions made by the organizers. Parking is available in numerous lots within a 10-15 minute walk of the stadium. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
