Event Information
This running event, themed "Slow Is the New Fast," is called the Sloth Run. It takes place at Sutter's Landing Regional Park in Sacramento, California.
Race Options
Participants can choose from several distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half-Marathon (13.1 miles)
- A Family 1 Mile Fun Run
- A Virtual Run option
All paces and ages are welcome, and participants can run or walk. Registration is required, and waves are capped on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is described as a smaller, private group run.
Participant Experience
The event offers a relaxed, non-competitive atmosphere with no official timing chips. Participants may track their own time using apps. Race bibs are provided on the event day. A swag bag is included with registration, containing a running t-shirt (shipped within the US), a finisher's medal, a finisher's towel or giveaway, and a digital training pack. Technical running shirts are available for an optional upgrade.
Additional Details
Packet pickup is not required as items are shipped directly to participants. Late registrants are accepted, but shirts may arrive after the race. The event has a charity initiative where every mile logged after the race can generate a $1 donation (fundraising is optional). The organizer also runs local run clubs.
