Format and logistics
The event uses capped wave starts and limits entries per wave; waves are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Timing is optional and no timing chips are used; participants may track time with an app or ask coordinators for timekeeping. Race bibs are provided on race day. Coordinators remain on site for a period after the first wave.
Registered participants receive a shipped swag bag (shirts shipped to U.S. addresses) the week of the race. Swag includes a running t-shirt, a finisher's towel or giveaway, a finisher's medal, a digital training pack, online results and a certificate of completion, and an invitation to local running clubs. A technical running shirt is available as an optional upgrade for an additional $5. Virtual runners receive a training pack and can submit results to receive a medal.
