Event Overview
The Bagel Run in Memphis is a community-oriented running event held along the Riverwalk. This event is designed as a small, private group run with a limited number of participants per wave to maintain a relaxed setting. It is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels, though runners under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. The event focuses on a stress-free environment without the use of timing chips or complex setups.
Participants can choose from several distance options:
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- 5K
- 10K
- 13.1 Half-Marathon
Logistics and Timing
The run utilizes a wave start system to manage the small group format. While timing is optional and no timing chips are used, coordinators are available to help participants track their times. Alternatively, runners may use their own tracking apps and submit their results through an online form to be posted after the event.
There is no traditional packet pickup on the day of the race. Instead, participant swag is shipped directly to the registered U.S. address. For those who register less than two weeks before the event, the shirt may arrive after the race. Race bibs are provided by coordinators on-site on the day of the run.
Participant Swag
Registered participants receive a swag bag that includes a running t-shirt, a finisher's medal, and a finisher's towel or other giveaway item. A digital training pack is also provided to support runners in their preparation. Participants are also invited to join local running clubs and have access to an online certificate of completion.
