The BayRun 26 : event details
The BayRun 26 is a community running and walking event held at Leichhardt Oval Number 3, Maliyawul Street, Lilyfield NSW, Australia on 2 August 2026. The event offers multiple race categories for different ages and participation types, including timed and non-timed options.
Participants can choose from these distances and categories:
- 7 km adult run or walk
- 7 km junior run or walk (17 years and under)
- 7 km Fastest Dog in the West
- 7 km High School Challenge (13 to 18 years)
- 2 km Primary School Challenge (ages 5 to 12)
- 2 km Dobroyd Dash (timed 2 km option)
- 2 km Accompanying Adult (non-timed)
The High School Challenge allows mixed teams and mixed year groups; the fastest three times from a team count and there is no team size limit. The Primary School Challenge requires participants to be primary school age on race day; an adult may register as an Accompanying Adult to run with a child. Registration prices follow three periods : Early Bird, Standard, and On The Day : with a stated A$5 increase between periods. Example Early Bird fees include A$50 for the 7 km adult and A$20 for the 2 km Primary School Challenge. Online entries remain open until the event begins.
