About the race
The BayRun is a community running festival held around Iron Cove Bay in Sydney. The 2026 event was the 22nd running of the BayRun and took place on Sunday, August 2, 2026. The event features separate options for adults and children, with participants completing either a 7 km loop or a 2 km kids dash along the bay.
Organisers publish individual results on a results page and upload event photos to an online gallery. The 2026 event acknowledged a presenting partner, Wests Ashfield, and listed sponsors, partners, volunteers and a run club community as part of the event structure. The BayRun includes activities related to schools, including an option to donate to a local school and community-focused elements such as family participation and a fancy dress component.
