Weight of War Run 2026 – Cronulla
The Weight of War Run at Cronulla RSL Club is a community event supporting veteran mental health. Participants can choose from several distances and carry optional weight to represent the experience of veterans.
Distances offered include:
- 21 km in a 10 kg weighted vest while wearing budgy smugglers
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 1 km walk
- Set your own distance
The 21 km option specifically pairs a 10 kg vest with budgy smugglers; the vest represents the invisible weight veterans carry and the smugglers symbolise asking for help. Wearing the vest is optional. There is no timing, no placings and no prizes for the event.
Entry is free for all participants. Registration is handled through the event organiser’s website and requires signing the participant waiver to appear on the official start list. Money raised supports veteran mental health through partner organisations such as Survive To Thrive Nation and Zero79 Foundation.
