The Bay Aquathlon Series - Race 3
The Bay Aquathlon Series concludes with its third and final event of the 2026 season at Swansea Bay. This multi-sport competition features open water swimming and running, with options available for individual participants and relay teams. The race starts on the beach adjacent to Secret's Bar and Kitchen.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- Sprint Distance: A 750m open water swim followed by a 5 km run.
- Mini Sprint Distance: A 400m open water swim followed by a 5 km run.
- Super Sprint Distance: A 400m open water swim followed by a 3 km run.
The event is open to various age groups depending on the chosen distance. The Sprint and Mini Sprint categories are open to entrants aged 15 and over by the end of the year, while the Super Sprint category accepts entrants aged 13 and over.
The transition area and registration are located near the start line. A mandatory race briefing and an acclimatisation period take place shortly before the start. An award ceremony is held following the conclusion of the races. Parking is available at the Recreation Ground Car Park, which is a short walk from the event site, with additional parking located in the surrounding area.
