The Bay 5K Series - Race 3
The Bay 5K Series concludes with its third and final event held at Swansea Bay. This running event is integrated into the larger Bay Aquathlon program, offering participants the opportunity to compete in individual races or the full series across three different dates throughout the summer.
The event features two distinct distances to accommodate various experience levels:
- 5k: A longer distance intended for more experienced runners.
- 3k: A shorter distance intended for beginners or first-time participants.
The race course is located on the beach, with the starting area situated adjacent to Secret's Bar & Kitchen. Participants are required to attend a mandatory race briefing held shortly before the departure. An award ceremony takes place at the conclusion of the evening.
Entry is open to participants based on age requirements; the 3k event is open to those aged 9 and over, while the 5k event is open to those aged 11 and over by the end of the calendar year. For logistics, parking is available at the Recreation Ground Car Park, which is a short walk from the start area, with additional parking options in the surrounding Swansea Bay area.
