The Attic SuperHero Run

The Attic SuperHero Run is a community fun run held on September 19, 2026, in Midland, Texas. Events start and finish at First Baptist Church Midland in the Cuthbert parking lot at 2104 W. Louisiana. The Attic Resource Center, a program of One Accord for Kids, is the event host and beneficiary; the center provides resources such as beds, car seats, clothing, diapers, and school supplies for children in the local foster system. In 2025 The Attic provided services for 1,477 children in the Permian Basin.

The event offers multiple distances:

• 1K Fun Run
• 5K
• 10K

Participants who register for the 5K and 10K by August 17, 2026 are guaranteed a SuperHero Run shirt; shirts are not guaranteed for later registrations. Awards for the 5K and 10K use chip timing and recognize the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. The 5K route includes one aid station; the 10K route includes two aid stations. Water will be available at the start and finish area. Strollers and leashed dogs are permitted and should start toward the back of the field. Parking is available in other First Baptist Church lots.
