Event overview
The Ascent 5K is scheduled for March 28, 2026, at Rob Fleming Park in The Woodlands, TX. The event is hosted by The Phoenix Journey, a nonprofit focused on supporting people with autoimmune diseases. The main event is a competitive, timed 5K that also welcomes walkers, rollers, and fun-run participants at any pace. The event includes mile markers along the route, a 1-hour time limit to complete the course, and a custom race shirt plus finisher medal for all participants.
Races, awards and other options
Race offerings include the 5K and a Kids Dash of 0.25 mile for children 10 and under. Age-group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in these divisions: 10 & under, 11–14, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+. Additional awards are planned for Best Costume(s), Most Creative Costume(s), and Largest Group. A Volunteer & Run option allows participants to assist with event duties and then take part in the 5K; this option includes a participant discount.

Safety and policies
