The Aliza Lapierre Fan Club Trail Race
The Richmond Trail Running Club hosts the fifth annual Aliza Lapierre Fan Club Trail Race in the Richmond, Vermont area. The event is volunteer run and organized as a charity; profits will be donated to provide area youth and families with affordable skiing and snowboarding lessons through the Cochran's Ski Area non profit. Registration closes on July 17 and day of registration is not offered.
The event offers the following distances:
- 50k including a two person relay option
- 26k
Course details note substantial road and trail segments. The 50k traverses approximately 8 miles of road and 23 miles of rugged trails across Huntington, Starksboro, Hinesburg and Richmond with over 5,000 feet of climbing. The 26k traverses approximately 3 miles of road and 13 miles of rugged trails through Huntington, Hinesburg and Richmond with over 2,500 feet of climbing. Aid stations will provide snacks and drinks roughly every 5 to 7 miles. Both races finish at Cochran's Ski and Bike Area.
