Thanksgiving Wattle 2026
The event takes place on November 26, 2026 in Grove City, Ohio at 1270 Lamplighter Drive. It is the 15th consecutive running of the Wattle and includes multiple kid and adult events with accommodations for athletes with visible and invisible disabilities.
Distances and event types
- 5K run and walk plus a wheelchair 5K
- 100 short sprint for athletes with developmental or physical challenges (listed as 100 meters; event details also refer to 100 yards)
- 200 yards Primrose School children run with two heats by age group
Race features include chip timing for the 5K, photographs, live on course music, finish line refreshments, free post race photos, and long sleeve shirts available at early packet pick up. Pumpkin pies are provided to finishers in the 5K and the Turkey Leg sprint. Finisher medals are included for all finishers in all events. There will be no water station on the course.
The event supports the Grove City Food Pantry, a 501c3 pantry staffed by volunteers that purchases food from the Mid Ohio Food Bank. Organizers state that no pets are allowed to help make the event accessible to a broad family audience; trained support dogs may be considered for special circumstances by contacting the race director.
