Thanksgiving Wattle - Grove City, OH
The Thanksgiving Wattle is a community event held in Grove City at 1270 Lamplighter Drive that includes running and walking events for a range of ages and abilities. This is the 15th consecutive Wattle. Events include a traversing hometown-feel 5K course along Buckeye Parkway and a separate wheelchair 5K. Chip timing, long-sleeved shirts distributed at early packet pick-up, race photographs, live on-course and finish-line music, finish-line refreshments, and finisher medals for all events are provided. Pumpkin pies are given to finishers in the 5K Run/Walk and the Turkey Leg 100-meter event. There will be no water station on the course.
The Turkey Leg 100 meters is organized for athletes with developmental or physical challenges; organizers request arrangements for volunteer support or other accommodations through the Race Director. The Primrose School Children's Run is for ages 2 to 8 with two heats: a 100-yard heat for ages 2 to 5 (west of the finish line) and a 200-yard heat for ages 6 to 8 that starts at the finish line and goes west then back.
Proceeds support the Grove City Food Pantry, a volunteer-run 501c3 located at the Church with the Purple Doors, which buys food through the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. If a shipping option is chosen for mailed items, registrations should be completed by November 5, 2026 to allow shipping before Thanksgiving morning.
