Phoenix Striders Thameside 10/5/1 2026 Races
The event takes place on 24 May 2026 at Thameside Nature Discovery Centre, Mucking Wharf Road, Mucking Stanford-Le-Hope SS17 0RN. It is organised by Essex Wildlife Trust together with Phoenix Striders Walking and Running Club and raises funds for Essex Wildlife Trust and Brighter Outcomes for Special People.
Distances offered:
- 10k - minimum age 16.
- 5k - minimum age 12.
- Teenies run - about 1k, two laps of the track around the visitor centre.
Entrants in the 10k and 5k receive bespoke medals and are eligible for trophies awarded to top finishers in overall, age categories and club attendance. All adult entries include a free child place in the Teenies run collectable with the event bib on the day; additional child places can be purchased at race control for £5 on the day. Entries on the day are available with an additional £2 charge. Online entries are available until 22 May 2026; prices vary by entry date and offer discounted rates for members of affiliated clubs.
There are no changing facilities at the centre but toilets are available inside. The centre sells refreshments and gifts. Race numbers are collected on the day from the Discovery Centre and the overflow car park is a distance from the centre. Prizes are presented on the day and results are posted on the series website phoenixstriders.org.uk. The events are run under UKA rules.
