Texasman Triathlon : April 26, 2026
The Texasman Triathlon takes place at Lake Ray Roberts, Johnson Branch Unit in Valley View, Texas on Sunday, April 26, 2026. The event program includes multiple race options: Sprint, Olympic, X-50, X-50 Aquabike, Sprint Duathlon, and Athena and Clydesdale divisions for specific weight categories. Swim start waves are assigned by swim cap at packet pickup and competitors must wear the issued swim cap during the swim.
Courses and distances
- Sprint swim: 400 yards
- Olympic and X-50 swim: 1 mile (two-loop for Olympic and X-50; exit and reenter after the first loop)
- Sprint bike: 17.5 miles
- Olympic bike: 22 miles
- X-50 bike: 40 miles
- Sprint run: 3.1 miles
- Olympic run: 6.2 miles
- X-50 run: 9 miles
Logistics, rules and awards
Courses include an open water swim, rural bike sections on roads that remain open to vehicle traffic, and a shaded run course. Earpieces that project sound are not permitted and riding in the traffic lane is prohibited. Roads are chip-seal; lowering tire pressure by 5-8 psi is recommended. Wetsuit legality is determined race morning. Packet pickup is scheduled on days before the event at local partner locations in Dallas, Keller, and Richardson. Awards are three deep per age group and for Athena and Clydesdale categories; overall, masters and grand masters awards are one deep. Aqua-bike and Sprint Duathlon have overall awards one deep.
