Texas Heat

Texas Heat is a running event on August 15, 2026, at Getzendaner Park, 400 South Grand Avenue, Waxahachie, Texas. The event includes three separate races: Texas Heat 5K, Texas Heat 5 Miler, and Texas Heat 1 Miler.

Registration windows and fees differ by race. Registration for the 5K and the 5 Miler opens December 29, 2025 and closes March 1, 2026; the registration fee for those races is $25. Registration for the 1 Miler opens March 19, 2026 and closes May 1, 2026; the registration fee for that race is $15.

Participants receive a gender specific shirt and finishers receive a medal. Packet pick-up is available the day before at Racquet and Jog, 308 N College St, Waxahachie, and on race day near the start line. The race day program includes a warm up and the national anthem before the events.
