Terror Twilight Track Meet
The Terror Twilight Track Meet takes place on July 29, 2026 at the Appleton West Track behind Appleton West High School, 610 N. Badger Avenue, Appleton, WI. The meet is in its eighth year and is open to all ages; no prior association with the school is required.
The event is an open, volunteer-hosted meet supported by donations. Registration is free and early registrants receive a limited edition bag tag while supplies last. The meet is hand timed and participants who choose to wear running spikes must use spikes no longer than 1/4". Parking is available in West parking lots and on designated neighborhood streets. Bleacher seating will be available. Water will be provided for filling bottles and Fox Pops will be available for sale. The meet is scheduled to proceed in rain or shine unless weather creates unsafe conditions.
Track and field competitions at the meet include the following events:
- 1600 m
- 800 m
- 400 m
- 100 m
- 50 m kids races
- 4 x 100 m relay
- 4 x 400 m relay
- Field events: shot put, long jump, high jump
Event organization includes heats or grouping by goal pace for some races and a practice hand-off relay prior to the longer relay. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
