Terror Twilight Track Meet
The Terror Twilight Track Meet is an open track and field event presented by Appleton West High School. Now in its seventh year, the meet is held at the Lawrence University Track, located adjacent to the Alexander Gymnasium in Appleton, Wisconsin. This community event is open to participants of all ages and abilities, with no requirement for current association with the high school.
The competition features a variety of running and field events. Results are measured using hand timing. For participants choosing to wear running spikes, the length of the spikes must not exceed 1/4 inch.
Available events include:
- Shot Put
- Long Jump
- High Jump
- 1600 m
- 100 m
- 50 m (specifically for kids)
- 400 m
- 4 x 100 m relay
- 4 x 400 m relay
Water is provided for refilling bottles, and local popsicles are available for purchase. While limited bleacher seating is present, attendees are permitted to bring lawn chairs. Parking is available in the lot in front of the gymnasium and on surrounding neighborhood streets. The event proceeds in rain or shine, except in the case of unsafe weather conditions.
