Terra Blanca Wine Run 5k
The Terra Blanca Wine Run 5k takes place at the Terra Blanca Winery and Estate Vineyard in Benton City, Washington. The course consists of a two-lap route primarily on roads around the vineyard grounds. This event is open to both runners and walkers, and leashed dogs are permitted on the course but not inside the winery buildings. Strollers may be used, though participants should note the presence of uneven ground.
Participants receive several items with their registration, including:
- 5 km chip-timed race bib
- Super soft ring-spun cotton T-shirt
- Shatterproof, collapsible wine glass
- Finisher medal that functions as a wine stopper
- A pour of wine for adult participants
The race is professionally timed by J3 Timing, and results are posted online. Custom age group awards are provided for the top three finishers in ten-year age categories, ranging from ages 1-9 to 80 and over. Packet pickup is available on the day of the event, starting one hour before the run begins.
The event partners with the Lauren McCluskey Foundation, a local charity focused on campus safety and dating violence awareness. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual participation option is available, allowing runners to complete the distance independently and have their race packet shipped.
