Race Information
The Temptation 200 Ultras offers three race distances: a 200K, a 50K, and a Not At All Tempted 10K. All runners for the 100K, 150K, and 200K distances register for the 200K. On race day, participants can choose how far they continue. The final event cutoff is 40 hours after the 200K start.
Course and Format
The event takes place at Sand Ridge State Forest in Forest City, Illinois. The course consists of loops. The 50K requires two loops, and runners must complete the first loop within 5 hours to proceed to the second. The 10K involves running to the first aid station and back. Camping at the Oak Campground start/finish area is included with the race fee. The campground has pit toilets and a hand-powered water pump, but no showers or electric hookups.
Awards
Finishers of the 50K distance receive a custom challenge coin. Separate buckles are awarded for finishing 100K, 150K, and 200K distances. Overall winners for all distances receive a framed map of the course. There is also an award for the last-place finisher of the 200K who completes the race within the cutoffs.
Registration
Registration includes camping. Sweatshirts are not guaranteed for registrations after August 1. Participants can upgrade their distance online before race day or for a cash difference on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
