Temptation 200 Ultras is a multi-distance event held at Sand Ridge State Forest near Forest City, Illinois. The event offers the following distances:
- 200K
- Dirt Circus 100K
- 50K
- Not At All Tempted 10K
All long-ultra entrants register as 200K participants and may choose to stop and take an official finish at 50K, 100K, or 150K during the race. The 50K option is organized with its own start to help parking and add people to the trail while longer-distance runners continue. To proceed from the first to the second loop for the 50K, runners must complete the first loop within five hours; an earlier start option exists but those early starters are not eligible for overall awards. The 10K route goes to the first aid station and back.
Awards vary by distance: a custom challenge coin for 50K finishers who stop, buckles for 100K, 150K, and 200K finishes, a framed course map for winners, and a special award for the last 200K finisher who meets cutoffs. Camping at the start/finish is included with the fee; Oak Campground provides pit toilets and a hand-powered water pump but no showers or electrical hookups. Sweatshirts may not be available for registrations after August 1. The event has a refund and deferral policy with specified deadlines and percentages.
