Templeton 10 Mile Road Race
The event is a measured 10 mile road race based at Clatto Centre, Clatto Reservoir, with the start on Templeton Road about one mile from the registration area. The course follows mainly a clockwise loop and finishes with the last mile through the woods. Marshals, directional signage and mile markers are provided along the route.
Two on-course water stations are located at approximately 3 miles and 7 miles, and water will also be available at the finish. Roads are not closed for the race; in-ear headphones are not permitted unless medically prescribed, while bone-conducting headphones are allowed. First aid cover will be provided on the day.
There are limited parking spaces at the Clatto Centre, with additional parking available on the approach road, at Templeton Woods Nature Hut and at Camperdown Park; these options are around 1 to 1.5 miles from the start. A room to leave small items of kit is available at the registration centre but the organisers do not accept responsibility for loss or damage. Small items of warm clothing may be dropped at the start to be returned to the finish; participants should not take bags to the start line.
Official times are recorded without chip timing, measured from the gun start to the finish line. All runners must complete the course within 2 hours 20 minutes. Results will be posted on Webscorer, the event website and the Scottish Athletics website. Goody bags are provided to all finishers. Transfers or deferrals are allowed up to 1 November; refunds are given only if the event is cancelled. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
