Telaya Wine Run 5k
The Telaya Wine Run is an annual 5k event at Telaya Wine Co. in Garden City, Idaho. The course starts and finishes at the winery and follows bike trails along the Boise River. It is described as a fast and flat course.
Registration includes a t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine coaster, a chip-timed race bib, posted online results, and a pour of wine. Participants aged 1-20 receive a discounted registration that includes the shirt, medal, and bib but not the wine glass or pour.
The event is chip-timed and scored by J3 Timing, with results posted online. Age group awards are available for the top three finishers in ten-year categories from 1-9 up to 80 & over. Packet pickup is available on race day beginning one hour before the start.
Dogs on leashes are allowed. Strollers are permitted but not recommended due to uneven ground on the course; children in strollers do not need to register. The event welcomes walkers.
Street parking near the winery is limited. Additional public parking is available within walking distance at Kathryn Albertson Park and Esther Simplot Park in Boise. There is a virtual participation option.
The local charity partner for the event is Girls on the Run Treasure Valley. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
