Event Overview
The TEF Tenafly 5K Run and Dog Walk is a multi event community fundraiser scheduled for Sunday, June 7, 2026. It will be the 28th edition of this event. The primary location is the Tenafly Middle School in Tenafly, New Jersey.
Events and Activities
The event features several activities:
- 5K Run: A USATF sanctioned road race.
- 5K Dog Walk: A walking event for participants with dogs on the same course.
- Dog Parade: A separate parade event for dogs.
- Tiger Cub Races: Short races for children aged 6 and under.
- JCC 1 Mile Fun Run: A one mile running event.
Additional family friendly activities include inflatable bounce houses. There is also a Family Health and Fitness Fair with sponsors, snacks, and face painting. Registered participants receive an event t shirt and a tote bag with items, while finishers receive a medal. T shirts and merchandise are available while supplies last.
Registration and Charity
Early bird pricing for the 5K Run and 5K Dog Walk is $30 and is valid through February 28, 2026. Other event prices are $20 for the Dog Parade and Tiger Cub Races, and $25 for the 1 Mile Fun Run.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Tenafly Educational Foundation, a nonprofit organization that funds educational programs and projects in Tenafly public schools. The 5K is the foundation's largest fundraiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
