TEF Tenafly 5K Run and Dog Walk
The TEF Tenafly 5K Run and Dog Walk takes place on June 7, 2026 in Tenafly, New Jersey, with the start and finish at Tenafly Middle School. The event is a USATF-sanctioned 5K and has drawn more than 1,500 runners and more than 100 dogs in past years. It is presented by the Palisades Running Club and benefits the Tenafly Educational Foundation.
The event includes multiple race and community formats:

- 1-Mile Fun Run
In addition to the 5K run and 1-mile fun run, the weekend program features a 5K Dog Walk, a Dog Parade, Tiger Cub races for children ages 6 and under, inflatable bounce houses, and a Family Health and Fitness Fair with sponsors, snacks, and face painting. Registered participants receive a t-shirt, a goodie-filled tote bag, and other merchandise while supplies last; all finishers receive a medal. T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed.
All proceeds support the Tenafly Educational Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that funds teacher-initiated programs and equipment in Tenafly public schools. The event reported raising over $50,000 in 2025 and has raised more than $850,000 since its inception. Registration opens February 1, 2026.
