10th Annual 5K9 Glow Walk Run - Grove City
The 10th Annual 5K9 is a free evening glow walk and run held in Grove City on August 15, 2026, at Breck Community Park, beginning at the Beulah Park Arch. The event is presented to raise support for Friends of the Franklin County Dog Shelter.
The event is organized as a glow-themed 5K walk/run with neon, glitter, and glow sticks encouraged. The location was moved to the Town Center area so participants can visit nearby establishments after the event. Time slots are used during registration to space walkers and runners; participants who miss their slot may wait at Breck Park to be added to the rotation.
Dogs are welcome. Water stations will be available along the route and the dog park will be open before, during, and after the event. Participants are asked to be mindful of their dogs' needs and temperament and to bring necessary items for their pets.
Donations are appreciated for Friends of the Franklin County Dog Shelter, a 501c3 organization that funds medical care for shelter dogs. Preferred donations are cash or gift cards; donations are tax-deductible. Donations from pet stores that sell dogs will not be accepted. The shelter’s medical costs exceed $200,000 annually.
Participants competing for time must submit a screenshot from a running app as proof of time. All finishers receive a completion award and the first 200 registrants receive a free T-shirt.
