ORRRC Darby Creek Bison 10k Trail Race
This event is a 10 km trail running race held at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park, Cedar Ridge parking area, 1775 Darby Creek Drive, Galloway, OH 43119. The park covers more than 7,000 acres of prairies, fields and forests and includes over 20 miles of riparian forest along Big and Little Darby Creeks; the creeks are noted for their diversity of aquatic and terrestrial plants and animals.
Registration opens in late March and is available online and in person on race day. Online registration is available before the race; hard copy registration sheets are also available at the event. Minors may be registered by a parent or guardian online or in person, and a parent or guardian must sign the waiver for in-person minor registration.
All participants must check in before the race and attach their assigned timing chip to one shoe; organizers identify the check-in table by a green tablecloth. ORRRC members have the entry fee waived when membership is verified; non-members pay the listed fee for ages 15 and up and entry is free for ages 14 and under.
Awards are given for overall male and female, age-based masters and grand masters, a senior category, and standard age groups from 9 and under through 80 and up. Animals are not permitted except for clearly identified service dogs. Volunteer opportunities are available and are organized through the event volunteer tab.
