ORRRC Darby Creek Bison 10k Trail Race

The ORRRC Darby Creek Bison 10k Trail Race takes place at the Battelle Darby Creek Metropark in Galloway, Ohio. This location is the largest Metro Park in the area, encompassing more than 7,000 acres of forests, fields, and prairies. The venue features over 20 miles of riparian forest along both the Big and Little Darby Creeks, known for a diverse range of aquatic and terrestrial plants and animals.

Participants can expect a chip-timed event organized by the Ohio River Road Runners Club. The race begins and ends at the Cedar Ridge Parking Area. There are no shirts or finisher medals provided, though refreshments are available for participants. Registration is open to the public, with specialized fee structures:

The event includes awards for first overall male and female finishers, as well as masters (over 40), grand masters (over 50), and senior (over 60) categories. Age group recognition is also provided in five-year increments starting from age 10-14 up to 80 and over, while the 9 and under category is conducted as a non-competitive group where all finishers are recognized.

Pre-registration is available online, and timing chips are distributed on the morning of the event. On-site registration is also permitted until shortly before the official start.
