Tears and Gears 2026 - Fernie, BC, Canada
Tears and Gears is a mountain duathlon combining trail running and mountain biking, held at the Elk Valley Nordic Centre in Fernie on 29 August 2026. The event raises funds for the Abi Moore Scholarship Fund and directs all raised funds to that scholarship.
The race began in 2010 after two friends wanted a joint event and ran annually through 2019. After a six-year hiatus, it returns in 2026 to support the scholarship and promote use of the local trail network in an inclusive community setting. Participation is limited to 200 racers.
