Team Up! 5K - Fairfax, VA
The Team Up! 5K takes place on October 3, 2026, in Fairfax, Virginia. The event starts and finishes at The Salvation Army Fairfax Corps Community Center, 4915 Ox Road, and includes both a timed 5K run and a walk option.
This annual event is a fundraiser for The Salvation Army's free afterschool programs serving the Fairfax County community. Funds raised support character building programs, music instruction, homework help, a warm meal for each student each day, and additional program needs.
Online registration opens June 6, 2026, and remains available through race morning. The fee schedule is tiered: $35 through June 30, $40 from July 1 through August 31, and $45 from September 1 through race day. Youth 16 and under have a reduced fee of $20. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for participants registered by September 15; later registrants receive shirts while supplies last.
Teams of runners are welcome. Packet pick up is available on race morning. Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female overall finishers. The race will be clock timed only. The course runs from The Salvation Army north on Ox Road, right onto Braddock Road, right onto Sideburn Road with a water station at Oakview Elementary, then via Zion Drive back to Ox Road and the finish at The Salvation Army.
