2nd Annual Team Kopacz 5K Run/Walk Knock Out the Miles for PD
This community fundraiser is organized by the Team Kopacz Foundation to support Parkinson’s disease research. The event takes place at Sucker Lake Pavilion #2 on Sucker Lake Road in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota on September 20, 2026. Fundraising proceeds are directed toward the University of Minnesota SPARX3 trial, a study of different exercise intensity levels and their effects on Parkinson’s symptoms and progression.
Participants may choose among several course options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 mile stroll
- Kid's Dash 1/2 mile (ages 10 and under)
Registrations include a finisher shirt and a medal; shirt availability is guaranteed through September 13. Packet pickup is available the day before at the Shoreview Community Center (upper level) at 4580 Victoria Street North, Shoreview, MN 55126, and also on the morning of the event at Snail Lake Regional Park, Shoreview. No pets are permitted on the course.
The event awards prizes to the top male and female finishers in each age group, with categories ranging from 19 and under through 80 plus. Sponsors listed for the event include the University of Minnesota Foundation, Performance Foodservice, and Maximum Intensity Training.
