2nd Annual Team Kopacz 5K Run/Walk
The Team Kopacz Foundation organizes the 2nd Annual Team Kopacz 5K Run/Walk "Knock Out the Miles for PD" at Sucker Lake Regional Park in Vadnais Heights, MN on September 20, 2026. The foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) that supports Parkinson's disease research and community fundraising.
This event raises funds for Parkinson's research at the University of Minnesota, including support for the SPARX3 trial that studies how different levels of exercise intensity affect Parkinson's symptoms and progression. The foundation lists a current fundraising total of $3,394.22 toward a $20,000 goal and previously raised $20,000 for exercise research at the University of Minnesota. The organization previously hosted a long-running golf event that raised over $250,000 for Parkinson's research.

- 1/2 mile Kid's Dash (ages 10 and under)
Registrations include a finisher shirt and medal; shirt availability is guaranteed until September 13. Packet pickup is available at the Shoreview Community Center, 4580 Victoria Street North, Shoreview, MN 55126, and also on the morning of the event at Sucker Lake Park. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female winners in standard age groups (19 & Under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+). Pets and strollers are welcome on the course with a request to use caution and avoid blocking the path.
