5k Run and Community Event in Grand Prairie
The Teal & Tutu’s 5k is a community-focused sporting event held during Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Located at Epic Central in Grand Prairie, Texas, the event takes place near local points of interest such as Serious Eats and Vidorra. The primary goal of the gathering is to support survivors of sexual assault, with proceeds benefiting survivors and local organizations dedicated to this cause.
Participants can choose from multiple event categories:
- Teal & Tutus 5k: A chip-timed road race for individual participants.
- Teal & Tutus Virtual Run: An option for those participating from a different location.
- Teal & Tutus 5k Community Event: A general community gathering held alongside the physical race.
Registration for the physical 5k includes a race bib with a number, chip-timed results, a race t-shirt, and a finisher medal. Only those who register by April 5, 2026, are guaranteed a t-shirt in their preferred size. After completing the course, participants receive entry to a post-race party.
The event also features a team challenge to encourage group participation. Members of the largest registered team receive a specialty tumbler, while the team captain is presented with the Power in Purpose award. Local vendors and sponsors are present at the venue to support the race day atmosphere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
