TCS New York City Marathon Training Series 18M - Central Park
The event is the second race in a two-race TCS New York City Marathon Training Series held in Central Park on September 20, 2026. The course distance for this event is 18 miles, designed to support marathon training and to allow runners to test race-day strategy in a race environment. The series leads up to the TCS New York City Marathon on November 1.
This event is a scored race and a qualifier for the NYRR 9+1 program. Registration options included entries that were sold out and a Member-Only Standby List for active members to be invited on a first-come, first-served basis if more entries become available. NYRR offered Protecht registration fee protection for paid events. The NYRR Race Free program provided complimentary entry opportunities in 2026; the 2026 application period is closed and the 2027 application period is expected to open in October 2026.
Logistics published for the event include race-number pickup at the NYRR RUNCENTER at 320 West 57th Street, with bib pickup closing 10 minutes after race start; late pickup will not receive a bib or 9+1 credit. Bag check accepts only clear bags no larger than 17" wide x 20" high x 7" deep. The NYRR Pace Team will offer pacers on course; live unofficial tracking is available in the NYRR App and official results are posted after the event. Awards are given to the top three overall in men, women, and nonbinary divisions, with age-group award claim procedures after the race.
