Taunton Tinsel Trot - 07 December 2025
Taunton Tinsel Trot is a fundraising fun run promoted by Taunton and District Carnival Committee Limited and St Margaret’s Hospice Limited. The event is described as a fun run and not a competitive race. Numbers and hats are collected on the day. St John Ambulance will provide medical cover. All finishers receive a commemorative medal.
Course, entry and rules
Distances:
- Adults (aged 11 and over) - 3 km (approx.)
- Children (age up to 10) - 1 km (approx.)
The adult course starts and finishes on Castle Green and follows North Street, Bridge Street, North Street, East Street (out and back), Corporation Street, Castle Green, Goodland Gardens, North Street and Castle Bow to finish on Castle Green. The children’s course is to be confirmed. Entrants to the adult category must be at least 11 years old on the day. Entrants under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult; one adult may be responsible for up to two under-16s. Each child entrant must also be accompanied by a responsible adult and pushchairs are permitted. Entry limits are 600 total (500 adults and 100 children). Entry fees listed are £15.00 for adults and £5.00 for children. Entries open 09 September 2025 and close 30 November 2025. No entry fees will be refunded after 30 November. Free Santa hats are provided to adult entrants and free Elf hats to child entrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
