Event Overview
The Tarentino Strong 5K is a run and walk event held on June 14, 2026. It was established to honor a fallen police officer and marks the 10th anniversary of his death. The event is also an opportunity to honor others who have served. It features two events: a 5K Run/Walk and a Kids Fun Run for participants aged 8 and under.
Location
The event takes place at the Auburn Elks Lodge, located at 754 Southbridge Street in Auburn, Massachusetts.
Event Activities
In addition to the races, the morning includes raffles, a DJ, and free finish line photos. The race uses chip timing and provides live results. Kids in the Fun Run receive a water bottle, a custom t-shirt, a goodie bag, and a medal. Custom race shirts are available for the first 1000 registrants for the 5K.
Registration and Logistics
Registration for the 5K is available with tiered pricing. Same-day registration is offered on-site. Early bib and shirt pickup is available on two days prior to the event at a separate location in Worcester and at the Auburn Elks Lodge. Parking is available at the Elks and nearby lots.
Special Divisions and Awards
The event features several special divisions:
- A Uniform Challenge for law enforcement, firefighters, and military personnel who run in full duty gear.
- A Wheelchair Division for athletes using a wheelchair.
- A Team Division award for the group with the most registrants.
Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in the Uniform Challenge, the top overall male and female finishers, and the top finishers in various age groups for the 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
