Tamara Private Hospital Tamworth Running Festival
Tamara Private Hospital Tamworth Running Festival is a running event in Tamworth, New South Wales, held on Kable Avenue. It is a multi-race community festival that traces its history to 1974 and was started by three local residents. It is described as the third oldest fun run in New South Wales.
The original 1974 course began outside Tamworth Town Hall, ran down Peel Street, turned into a hilly section in East Tamworth and returned to No 1 Oval. That first route crossed the New England Highway three times; the course has changed since then.
