About the race
Kinetic Day Out 2026 is a community lap event held at the Field of Dreams on Carter Street in West Tamworth, NSW. Participants complete laps around a measured 1 kilometre loop over a multi-hour event period, with individuals and teams able to record as many laps as they choose. The event sets a collective distance goal of 14,500 kilometres, framed as the length of a major Australian highway. In previous editions, several hundred participants completed thousands of laps; the event continues with the same loop-format and a focus on cumulative distance. Activities and amenities on site include coffee and food vendors, games, recovery areas and brand activations.
The event supports local charitable efforts by directing proceeds or lap-based fundraising to The Beacon Truck, which provides meals and support for people experiencing hardship in the local area.
