Event details

The 2026 Tampa Firefighters 5K - 15th Annual takes place on Saturday, April 4, 2026 in Tampa, FL. The event location and race-day hub is 720 E Zack Street, Tampa, FL 33602. The event program includes the following distances:

1 Mile Run/Walk

The 5K is a chip timed race. The 1 Mile Run/Walk is not chip timed.

Registration, packet pick-up and fees

Registration prices for the 5K are tiered: $30 from 11/17/25 to 02/20/26, $35 from 02/21/26 to 04/03/26, and $40 on race day. The 1 Mile fee is $25 until 04/03/26 and $30 on race day. The 5K registration includes a dri-fit gender specific shirt if registered by Monday, 3/13/26, plus a bib and finisher medal. The 1 Mile registration includes a bib and finisher medal.

Pre-race packet pick-up is at the Tampa Firefighters Museum, 720 E. Zack Street, with sessions on Wednesday, April 1 (4:00 pm - 7:00 pm) and Friday, April 3 (11:00 am - 6:00 pm). Race day packet pick-up is available starting at 6:30 am.

Awards and beneficiary

Overall awards are given to the top female and male finishers. Trophies are awarded to first through third place, female and male, in five-year age groups from "9 and Under" through "80 and Over." One hundred percent of event proceeds benefit Camp Hopetake, a free week-long summer camp in Tampa for previously burned children. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
