Purpose and beneficiary

One hundred percent of proceeds benefit Camp Hopetake, a week-long summer camp in Tampa for previously burned children from across Florida. The camp is free for attendees and offers activities such as visits to Busch Gardens, Universal Studios, Disneyworld, Adventure Island, swimming, bowling, fishing, games, crafts and movies.

Registration, fees and inclusions

The 5K is chip timed. Price windows listed are:

$30 (11/17/25 - 02/20/26), $35 (02/21/26 - 04/03/26), $40 (race day).

The 1 Mile is not chip timed. Price listed is:

$25 (until 04/03/26), $30 (race day).

Included for 5K registrants: Dri-fit gender specific race shirt (guaranteed if registered by Monday, 3/13/26), bib and finisher medal. Included for 1 Mile registrants: bib and finisher medal.

Awards and packet pick-up

Overall awards are given to the top female and male. Trophies are awarded 1st-3rd for female and male in 5-year age groups from "9 and Under" through "80 and Over." Pre-race packet pick-up is at the Tampa Firefighters Museum, 720 E. Zack Street, with listed sessions on Wednesday, April 1 and Friday, April 3; race day packet pick-up is also available.
