Course and relay
Both the marathon and half marathon are USATF certified courses. The marathon is a qualifying course for the Boston Marathon. The route begins on Monroe Street across from the Florida Capitol, passes through Downtown, Glenview Drive, Midtown, Calhoun Street and Franklin Boulevard, Cascades Park, Myers Park, and along FAMU Way. Half marathon runners head toward Florida State University. Marathon runners use the St. Marks Trail section, run alongside Lake Henrietta and through the Jake Gaither neighborhood, then rejoin the half course and pass through FSU and the CollegeTown Madison Mile to the finish. All surfaces are paved except a 0.1 mile dirt access path on the full marathon route.
Relay teams consist of four members on the full marathon course. There is a 6-hour cutoff, which requires a pace of 13:44 per mile or faster. Divisions are men, women, and co-ed; team members register separately. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
