Event details
The Tallahassee Marathon, Half Marathon and Relay takes place on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Tallahassee, Florida. The event is organized by the Gulf Winds Track Club, a local non-profit and all-volunteer group. Entry fees listed are $120 for the marathon, $80 for the half marathon, and $40 for the marathon relay. The start/finish area is located near 301 S Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301.
Course and relay
Both the marathon and half marathon are USATF certified courses, and the marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifying course. The route begins on Monroe Street across from the Florida Capitol and passes through Downtown, Glenview Drive, Midtown, Calhoun Street, Franklin Boulevard, Cascades Park, Lafayette Street and Myers Park. Runners cross the Capital Cascades Crossing pedestrian bridge, run along FAMU Way, and the marathon continues onto the St. Marks Trail alongside Lake Henrietta and the Jake Gaither neighborhood before rejoining the half marathon course near Florida State University. The finish runs through the southwestern end of campus and the CollegeTown Madison Mile. The course is paved except for a 0.1 mile dirt access path on the full marathon route.
The relay is run on the full marathon course only. Teams of four register separately and compete in three divisions: men, women and co-ed. There is a six-hour cutoff; relay members must be able to run 13:44 per mile pace or faster. Relay legs are: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
