Tallahassee Marathon and Half Marathon
The Tallahassee Marathon and associated races take place in Tallahassee, Florida, with the event date set for February 7, 2027. The event uses a city course that begins and finishes near 301 S Monroe Street in Tallahassee.
The event program includes these distances:
- 26.2 Miles marathon.
- 13.1 Miles half marathon.
- 26.2 Miles marathon relay for teams of four.
The marathon relay is run on the full marathon course. Relay legs are approximately 6 miles, 6 miles, 9 miles and 5 miles. Teams register by division: men, women, and coed. Coed teams must include at least one member of each gender. Each relay team member must register separately. There is a six hour course cutoff, which requires relay participants to hold a pace of 13:44 per mile or faster.
The event is organized by the Gulf Winds Track Club, a local non profit staffed by volunteers. The Tallahassee Marathon began in 1975 with two participants and has continued as a community organized road race. A 2026 participant survey noted a field size fitting the city and positive on course energy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
