TALI Sadlers Creek Off-Road Duathlon
A multi-category off road duathlon at Sadlers Creek Park in Anderson, SC, held at 940 Sadlers Creek Rd. The event offers separate races for adults, youth, high school competitors and relays across multiple distances.
- 15 Miles - adult sprint and relay
- 8 Miles - high school sprint
- 5 Miles - youth super sprint
The transition area is located in the grassy field near the main park office and serves as the start and finish for each leg. The adult duathlon course begins with a 5k trail run that winds toward the boat ramp on mostly wide single track and returns to the transition area.
The bike leg departs the beach area east of the main office, follows the water's edge, and continues through woods toward the camping area and Persimmon Beach. Riders complete several loops in the woods before returning to transition for the final leg.
The final run is a 2.5k trail back toward the boat ramp, finishing near the park office. Trails are mostly wide single track and are suitable for mountain bikes or gravel bikes; there are several whoop-whoops that remain rideable on gravel bikes.
The youth race consists of a 1 mile trail run, a 3 mile mountain bike ride, and a concluding 1 mile run for ages 6 to 15. The high school race is for ages 15 to 18. Entry fees include park admission.
