TALI Croft State Park Off-Road Duathlon
This event day at Croft State Park in Spartanburg, SC, combines trail running and mountain biking across multiple distance categories for adults, youth, high school athletes, and relays. Courses use park trails and include natural features such as mixed pine and hardwood sections, creekside routing on Fairforest Creek, and areas where horses may be present.
The adult duathlon includes a trail run, a mountain bike segment composed of two loops on the park’s mountain bike trails with climbing, drops, and water crossings, and a final out-and-back trail run. The youth format begins on a one-mile nature trail, continues with a single lap of the mountain bike course, and finishes with an out-and-back section on Crags Trail. The high school distance consists of a trail run, a mountain bike leg, and a concluding trail run for roughly nine miles total. A separate two-mile trail run is offered as a running-only event. A relay option is also listed.
Organizers are collecting canned goods for a local Spartanburg food bank and note bringing two cans per participant. Park entry fees for athletes and volunteers will be covered by the event organizer. Organizers will give a special gift to early participants who have not previously raced a TALI event.
