Take the Fell
Take the Fell is a trail running event held at Beacon Fell Visitors Centre in Beacon Fell Country Park, Preston PR3 2ES on Sunday 7th March 2027. The event offers a 10k route and a longer off road route through Lancashire woodland and the Forest of Bowland, featuring rugged tracks, steep climbs, and fast descents.
The event includes medals, chip timing, signed routes, free photography, full medical cover, aid stations, and age awards. Finishers receive pie and a brew. Check in must be completed in person on the day to collect a bib number and timing tag; these are not posted to participants. Parking is available at various locations around the fell and further parking details are sent to registered participants 7 to 10 days before the event. A water station is provided for both routes offering water only, with hydration pack top up available. Full event information, including route maps, is sent to registered participants 7 to 10 days before the event. Entry is available through the event online entry portal, everything is included within the entry fee, and the minimum age for entry is 17 years.
