Take the Fell
Take the Fell is an off road trail event at Beacon Fell Country Park in the Forest of Bowland, Preston PR3 2ES. It offers fully signed routes, chip timing and free event photography for finishers.
Runners choose between two distances:
- 10K woodland route with rugged tracks, climbs and fast descents.
- 20K longer off road route with additional distance and climbing.
The course runs through woodland and on rough tracks with steep climbs and rapid descents, so participants should expect muddy underfoot sections. Facilities at Event HQ include check in desks, toilets, baggage drop and car key storage. A water station serves both distances supplying water only, and hydration packs can be topped up. Medical cover is provided at the event.
Finishers receive a medal and a pie and a brew at the finish. Age awards are presented and the event includes age category recognition. An optional event T shirt is available for £10 and the published entry fee is £25. Route maps, final instructions and parking information are sent to registered participants 7 to 10 days before the event.
