Event information
The 24th Annual Tails & Trails takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Tallahassee, Florida. The event offers four race options:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile
Registration opening dates are listed for each event: the 5K and 10K open February 1, 2026, and the Half Marathon and 1 Mile open February 15, 2026. Entry pricing is provided with shirt and no-shirt options; for example, standard fees listed include $20–$30 for individual entries and higher prices at on-site registration.
Location and additional details
The event is based at Tallahassee Animal Services, 1125 Easterwood Drive, with race starts at the BMX parking area, a short trail walk from the shelter. Races finish in the shelter’s back parking lot. The courses do not run on Easterwood Drive, and Easterwood will remain open before and during the races. Organizers request participants leave their pets at home for safety. Race proceeds benefit the Animal Shelter Foundation, a nonprofit that supports animals in the care of Tallahassee Animal Services.
