Event Overview
The 24th Annual Tails & Trails event offers four race distances: a 5K, a 10K, a half marathon, and a 1-mile run. It takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Tallahassee Animal Services, located at Tom Brown Park in Tallahassee, Florida.
Course Details
All races start at the BMX parking area, a short trail walk from the Animal Shelter. They finish at the Shelter's back parking lot. The courses do not run on Easterwood Drive, which remains open during the event.
Registration and Logistics
Registration prices vary by distance and whether a t-shirt is included. For the half marathon, the base price is $30 without a t-shirt. Prices increase after April 30, 2026.
Packet pickup and on-site registration are available on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Animal Shelter, and on race day starting at 7:00 AM.
Beneficiary
Proceeds from the event benefit the Animal Shelter Foundation (ASF), a volunteer-created non-profit that supports the animals at Tallahassee Animal Services. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
