Tails & Trails 24th Annual
Tails & Trails is a community running event held at Tallahassee Animal Services and Tom Brown Park on May 2, 2026. Races begin at the BMX parking area, a short trail walk from the Animal Shelter, and finish in the shelter's back parking lot. None of the courses are routed on Easterwood Drive; Easterwood remains open before and during the races.

- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 1 Mile (1 mile)
Registration opens December 3, 2025 and closes April 30, 2026. Entry fees listed by event are $20 for the 5K, 10K and 1 Mile, and $30 for the Half Marathon.
Proceeds benefit the Animal Shelter Foundation, a volunteer-created nonprofit that supports animals in the care of Tallahassee Animal Services. Participants are asked to leave their pets at home for safety and to highlight the shelter's animals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
