The 24th Annual Tails & Trails includes four race options:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile
Races take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026. All races start at BMX parking, a short trail walk from the Animal Shelter at Tom Brown Park, and finish in the shelter's back parking lot. None of the courses will be run on Easterwood; Easterwood Drive will remain open before and during the races. Participants are requested to leave their pets at home for safety.
Location, fees and logistics
The event is based at Tallahassee Animal Services, 1125 Easterwood Dr, Tallahassee, FL 32311. Race proceeds benefit the Animal Shelter Foundation, a volunteer-created non-profit that supports animals in the care of Tallahassee Animal Services. Packet pickup and on-site registration are scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2026, 5:30 pm–7:00 pm at the Animal Shelter, with race day packet pickup at 7:00 a.m. Entry fees vary by distance and shirt option; base online prices listed include options with or without a t-shirt and increase after April 30, 2026 at 11:59 pm EDT.
