Table Rock Trail Challenge

The Table Rock Trail Challenge is a Last One Standing running event held in Clark Reservation State Park near Jamesville, New York. It is the 10th annual running of this USATF-sanctioned race. The event uses two looped courses on the park's trails. The park is known for its fossils, glacial features, and the limestone "table rock" formations that give the race its name.

Course Details

Runners complete laps on two different courses. The event starts on Course A, which is approximately 1.3 miles long. This loop includes crushed gravel, slick table rock sections, dirt trails with rocks and roots, and some scrambles. After 10 laps, the race switches to Course B, which is about 1.2 miles long and cuts out the table rock and scramble sections.

The lap cutoff time reduces by 30 seconds per lap for the first 10 laps on Course A and again for laps 11 through 16 on Course B. From laps 17 to 20, the cutoff remains at 12 minutes per lap. Starting with lap 21, the Race Director will reduce lap cutoff times at their discretion until only one runner remains.

The winner is determined by who completes the last official lap within the cutoff time. Specific rules govern scenarios where the last runners finish a lap over the cutoff. The last male and female runners standing receive Last One Standing awards.

Additional Information

A post-race cookout begins at noon. All participants and volunteers are invited; spectators may purchase cookout tickets. The event proceeds rain or shine and will only be canceled for extreme, unsafe weather. Refunds are not granted, but one-year deferrals are available for pregnancy, injury, or for those who volunteer (if slots remain). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
