Strides for Sight 5k Run/Walk - Liverpool, NY
Strides for Sight is a second annual fundraiser organized by AURORA in partnership with the Baldwinsville Lions Club. The event takes place on June 27, 2026, at 3858 Long Branch Road, Liverpool, NY 13090. There are in-person and virtual options for the 3.1 mile distance. Registration opens 03/31/2026 and closes 06/26/2026; the registration fee is $35.
The event aims to raise awareness about vision loss and to highlight services that support people living with visual impairments in Central New York. It brings together participants of different ages and abilities to increase understanding of the daily challenges faced by individuals with vision loss and to show the role AURORA plays in promoting independence, accessibility, and inclusion.
After the run/walk, an Activity Zone will be available with family friendly games, local organizations, and arts and crafts. The Activity Zone provides an opportunity for attendees to learn about local services and to engage with community groups in a casual setting.
