T-Rex Ten Miler and The Wimpy
The T-Rex Ten Miler is a trail running event held on Saturday, July 4, 2026. It is organized as a local, off the beaten path trail race that uses a variety of terrain rather than a single, uniform course.
The course includes named features and obstacles such as Lochness, Stegasaurus Ridge, Dinosaur Egg Piles, and giant prehistoric snake logs that runners may need to climb over or crawl under. Runners will also encounter the Famous Mighty Tyrannasaurus Rex Hill. Some trail sections are described as well groomed while other sections present more of a challenge.
A companion event called the Wimpy Fun Run offers a shorter, more modest distance. The Wimpy event does not use age groups; all finishers receive a wimpy award and a Wimpy shirt. Both the ten mile event and the Wimpy run start together on race day. Race day registration is available. A speed raffle is part of the day as an additional activity for participants.
