The New Year's Day 5K takes place in Augusta, Georgia on January 1, 2026 at the Lake Olmstead Trailhead (1 Milledge Rd.). The course is primarily paved with a short section of compact dirt. The event offers both an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option.
Logistics and entry
Entry for the in-person 5K is listed at $26. A commemorative event shirt is available for an additional $10 during registration; shirt orders must be placed by 12/15/2025. Finisher medals are reserved for the first 150 registered in-person participants; virtual participants will receive a finisher medal and swag can be shipped within the continental United States (lower 48 states). Packet pickup will be held on January 1, 2026 at the Lake Olmstead Trailhead only. The event policy states no refunds or deferment.
