Event

The New Year's Day 5K is scheduled for January 1, 2026 in Augusta, Georgia. The start and finish are at Lake Olmstead Trailhead, 1 Milledge Rd. The course is primarily paved with some sections of compact dirt. A virtual 5K option is offered; virtual participants will receive event swag and a finisher medal. Shipping for virtual entries is to the continental United States (lower 48 states).

Registration and logistics

In-person registration is priced at $26. Finisher medals will be provided to the first 150 registered participants. Event shirts are available as an additional purchase for $10 during registration; shirt orders close on December 1, 2025. Packet pickup takes place at Lake Olmstead Trailhead on the event date.
