Sydney Trail Series - St Ives
The event is a series of trail races held in the bushland around St Ives Wildflower Gardens and parts of Ku-ring-gai National Park. Courses use a variety of natural trails, including steep and technical sections and scenic single trail along Cowan Creek. The race hub and start/finish are at St Ives Showground.
Races are scheduled across spring dates in 2026: 13 September, 11 October and 8 November. Distances offered across the series include the following:
- 7 km
- 10 km
- 24 km
- 30 km
Aid stations are provided on the courses. Locations listed include markers at about 4 km and additional stations at 6 km, 12 km, 19 km, 21 km and 25 km depending on distance. A time cut off applies at Aid Station 2, Warrimoo Trail/Timbarra Rd: a 3.5 hour limit for the 24 km course and a 4.5 hour limit for the 30 km course.
Facilities at the race hub include plentiful parking in the showground and nearby bus stops on Mona Vale Road. A post race recovery area offers fruit, Tailwind Nutrition and water, and a free post race brekky with bacon and egg sandwiches on the BBQ.
Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers in each event. Series prizes are given at the final race to the top three total times for athletes who entered the series bundle and completed all required races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
